How JayQora Guardian collects, uses, and protects your information.

Last updated: 2026
Our promise: JayQora is committed to protecting user privacy and only uses location information during emergency situations, safety monitoring, or when explicitly authorized by the user.

This Privacy Policy explains how JayQora ("we", "us", "our") handles personal information in connection with JayQora Guardian and related websites and services (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what is needed to provide a safety service: information you give us, information generated when you use Guardian, and limited technical information from your device. We describe each category below.

2. User account information

When you create an account we collect details such as your name, email address, phone number, city, and any profile information you choose to add (for example, your occupation or whether you wish to be a responder). We use this to operate your account, verify users, and communicate with you.

3. Emergency contact information

You may add trusted contacts who should be notified during an emergency. We store the names and contact details you provide for this purpose. Trusted contacts are notified only when you trigger an alert or when safety monitoring you have enabled detects an emergency. We do not use these contacts for marketing.

4. GPS location data

Location is central to Guardian's purpose — getting help to you. JayQora only uses location information during emergency situations, safety monitoring, or when explicitly authorized by you. When an SOS is active, your live location may be shared with nearby community responders and your trusted contacts so help can move toward you. You can control location permissions in your device settings, though some safety features may not work without them.

5. Device information

To deliver alerts reliably and keep the Service secure, we may collect device information such as device model, operating system, app version, Bluetooth pairing status for the Guardian ring, push-notification tokens, and basic diagnostics. We use this for compatibility, reliability, fraud prevention, and troubleshooting.

6. Safety alert records

When an alert is triggered, we keep a record of the event — such as the time, alert type, location at the time of the alert, which responders and contacts were notified, and any emergency recording you choose to capture. These records help us respond, improve the Service, support investigations you authorize, and meet legal obligations.

7. Data storage & protection

We protect your information using technical and organizational measures, including:

No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to safeguard your data and we will notify affected users and authorities of significant incidents as required by law.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can exercise most of these rights from within the app or by contacting us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

9. Data deletion requests

You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing support@jayqora.com or using in-app controls where available. We will delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records to comply with legal obligations or to resolve disputes. Safety alert records tied to emergencies may be retained where required.

10. Cookies & analytics

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the site is used so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Where required, we ask for consent before using non-essential cookies or analytics.

11. Third-party services

We rely on a limited set of trusted service providers — for example for hosting, maps, communications, and analytics — who process data on our behalf under contract. We share only what is necessary, and we do not sell your personal information. Emergency services and the responder network receive information only as needed to respond to an alert.

12. Contact us
