The agreement that governs your use of JayQora Guardian.
By accessing or using JayQora Guardian, our websites, or related services (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. You must be legally able to enter into this agreement to use the Service.
JayQora Guardian is a safety assistance platform and does not guarantee emergency response, rescue, law enforcement intervention, or medical assistance. Guardian helps coordinate and accelerate help by notifying nearby community responders, your trusted contacts, and (where supported) emergency services, but it cannot guarantee that any responder, contact, or authority will receive, accept, or act on an alert, or arrive in time. The Service depends on factors outside our control — including network connectivity, device condition, location accuracy, third-party services, and the availability of responders and authorities. Always contact official emergency services directly in an emergency.
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by: triggering false alarms; harassing, endangering, or impersonating others; attempting to access accounts or data that are not yours; reverse-engineering, disrupting, or overloading the Service; or using it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or limit features to protect users and the integrity of the network.
Verified community responders agree to act responsibly and within the law. Responders must never put themselves or others at unnecessary risk, must respect the privacy and dignity of people they assist, and should prioritize contacting and cooperating with official emergency services. Responder status is granted at our discretion following verification and may be revoked for misuse, misconduct, or safety concerns. Responders are volunteers and are not employees or agents of JayQora.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, create risk for other users, or where required by law. Where reasonable, we will provide notice. Some provisions — including disclaimers, liability limits, and data-retention obligations — survive termination.
The Service, including the JayQora and Guardian names, logos, design system, software, and content, is owned by JayQora and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended personal-safety purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. JayQora and its founders, team, and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from reliance on the Service, failure or delay of an alert, unavailability of responders or authorities, or any harm occurring during an emergency. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Guardian is in active development and may be offered as a beta or pre-release. Beta features may be incomplete, may change or be discontinued, and may contain errors. They should not be relied upon as a person's sole means of obtaining emergency help. By joining the beta you agree to provide feedback, understand that the Service is experimental, and accept that we may collect additional diagnostic information to improve it. Do not rely on beta features in life-threatening situations.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and how we protect it. In short: we use location only during emergencies, safety monitoring, or when you authorize it; we encrypt sensitive data; we never sell personal data; and you can request deletion of your account and data.
